I absolutely loved the two years (1955-1957) that I lived at Watkins Hall. My fondest memories are filled with the Watkins Hall friends I still am in contact with. In addition to the friendships developed there, I loved the group singing...I even wrote two songs that are still sung: "Who put the soapsuds in Chancellor Murphy's Fountain..." and "Don't send my girl to Vassar..." Ahhhh...springtime seemed extra special with the scent of lilacs and the sound of the flapping of Fraser Hall's flags as I drifted off to sleep in the open-windowed sleeping dorm...
